Your style of living.
Your style of builder!
The House, Garden and Tunnel tour is a great
opportunity for people to visit three homes
that have been newly built and one that has
been fully renovated.
It's also a great way to be inspired if
you are looking for new ideas. Four
lovely gardens are on display and
one garden is used as a wedding
venue as well. One of the tour's many
highlights is the Glenham railway
tunnel and the farmer whose land it is
on, has given the school permission to
have it open on the day. Wearing
waterproof footwear is advised.
Afternoon tea will be provided at the
school and it's a wonderful oppor-
tunity for people to have a look around
the school and the stalls where they
will have on offer plants, peony rose
tubers (Glendhu Flowers), and flax
flowers. Also after the last tour people
were asking about recipes of the
wonderful slices they had eaten, so
recipe books will be on sale as well.
Glenham School opened this week as a
two-teacher school for the first time
With a roll continuing to grow healthily
through farm staff migration and other
families seeking a friendly rural area in
which to settle, and not least due to
the school's enduring reputation for
high quality education, it's a good-
news story that's put a smile on
Principal and year 1 to 3 teacher Cathi
Knowles says the increase in pupil
numbers from 14 to 28 means further
enhancements to the school's already
high educational standards.
''We describe ourselves as the little
school with a big heart, learning for
self, community and excellence, and
it's a vision we work hard to make a
living reality,'' she said.
With Karen Stirling and Hayley Clarke
now sharing the teaching of years 4 to
6 under full ministry funding, class
sizes are small, allowing enviable levels
of one-to-one teaching and peerless
opportunities for individual learning,
bringing the best out of every child.
The reasons so many new families are
choosing Glenham to educate their
children are the very same reasons for
